Our hours may vary when it's a bank holiday, when seasonal events are taking place, or if any work needs doing to the shop. We advise checking our social media for the most up-to-date information on our opening hours.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes we offer delivery in the UK!  We're currently unable to do shipping overseas.

Will you sell my book/merchandise?

We're currently not taking on any self-published books, or merchandise from creators as we're trying to find our feet. Once we have more of a bearing we will do a call-out for people to submit their work.

Are you currently hiring staff/looking for volunteers?

We do not have any vacancies - any future vacancies will be advertised via our social media. Please do not send in CVs or speculative enquiries.

What is the Pay It Forward scheme and how does it work?

The scheme is a way of making queerish books available to those who are low on funds. People who are able can choose to donate £3, £5, or £10 in store or online, which will then be left as a tag instore and online for someone who can’t afford a book to use.

To claim in store, all you have to do is pick a tag(s) off the board and bring it to the counter with the product you’d like - no questions asked! We’re limiting tag usage to two tags per transaction as we’d like to make sure there is enough to go around.

To claim online, we have three discount codes:
To claim a £3 tag - PAYITFORWARD3
To claim a £5 tag - PAYITFORWARD5
To claim a £10 tag - PAYITFORWARD10

You can use each tag code once per transaction, so in total you could have £18 taken off an order online (providing we have certain tags in stock).

If you’d like to donate to the Pay It Forward scheme, you can do so in store by asking at the counter, or online by searching for the Pay It Forward product. This is a great way to give back and help those in need of a queerish book.

Do you accept National Book Tokens?

We don't sell or accept National Book Tokens but we're looking into making some Queerish vouchers.

How accessible is the shop?

The shop is wheelchair accessible with plenty of space to move around and view the bookshelves. If you need to sit down, we have a few fold-out chairs we can use.

If you have any issues reaching a book on a higher shelf the staff will be more than happy to help.

For parking, there is a private car park right by, Salt Yard car park, but I don't believe they have designated disabled spaces.

Can I bring my dog into the shop?

Yes! We are dog friendly and have a water bowl inside the shop by our notice board.
