Hook, Line, and Thinkers - Poetry Open Mic Night

Book your ticket to attend our first Poetry Open Mic night on 15th June!

Hook, Line & Thinkers is an open mic event at The Queerish Bookshop. It will be a space to celebrate queer poets of the North East, featuring two featured poets (to be announced) and eight open mic slots (5 minutes per person).

The event takes place on Saturday 15th June 2024. Doors open 6:45pm, with the event starting at 7:00pm and ending at 8:30pm.

Please note you still need to purchase a ticket even if you are claiming an open mic spot.

Pay What You Can - Guidelines

Please choose whichever price that you can afford. Paying more, if you can, helps to cover the cost of printing promotional material for the event and contributes to helping keep the bookshop open. All tickets give bookers the same access to the event (unreserved seating) and no ID or proof of need is required to book a ticket.

Suggested Supportive Price £10: Aimed at people with disposable income. 

Suggested Standard Price £5: Aimed at average-income folks, who want to pay the standard price for this event.

Suggested Concession Price £3:  Aimed at anyone who needs to pay less. You may be someone who would normally buy a student/pensioner/low-income ticket (there’s no need to show any form of ID or ‘proof’ to access this price).

Free is for anyone who needs it. If you can’t afford to pay for any reason, please feel free to claim a free ticket to attend this event. This could also be used to get a ticket for your access support worker or personal assistant, if you’re a disabled person who needs someone to attend with you.
